- Daret
- A Moroccan rotating savings circle: a group contributes a fixed amount each month and each member receives the full pot in turn.
- Tontine
- The French word for the same thing as a daret.
- جمعية (jam3iya)
- Another common Moroccan name for a daret.
- ROSCA
- Rotating Savings and Credit Association — the international term for a daret.
- Turn (نوبة / nouba)
- The month a given member receives the pot.
- Pot / cagnotte
- The total collected each cycle: members multiplied by the contribution.
- Contribution
- The fixed amount each member pays every month.
- Slot
- A member position in the payout order.
- Verified member
- A member whose identity is confirmed with a national ID (CIN) and a selfie.
- Organizer
- The person who creates the daret and invites members. On Darret, the app handles the tracking.
